What happens after you ask for help

How Our Network Works

Request an estimate

Who you talk to

You talk to an independent HVAC provider, a local business that does the work itself. Cyclebishop Heating & Air makes the introduction. After that, the conversation is between you and the provider.

There are no staff profiles here because the people who visit your home work for the provider, not for us.

What happens next

The first contact is usually short. Expect questions like these:

  • What is the system doing, or not doing?
  • How old is the equipment?
  • What type of home do you have, and where is the equipment?
  • When are you home during the week?

Have the make and model handy if you can find it. A photo of the label on the unit helps. Many providers can respond quickly, but timing depends on the provider and the season.

What to ask a provider

A few good questions save a lot of trouble:

  • Are you licensed and insured for work in this area?
  • Will you give me a written quote before starting?
  • What could change the price once you open the system up?
  • How long will the visit take, and will anything be shut off?
  • Is there a warranty on parts or labor, and what does it say in writing?

For a possible replacement, also ask why repair is or is not worth it. Typical U.S. costs vary widely by home and equipment, so compare written quotes.

Safe first, then fix

Do turn off the system if you smell gas, burning or see smoke, and leave the home if you smell gas. Do not open electrical panels or try to patch a gas furnace yourself. Do not pay in full before the work is done.

You are in control

You can ask questions, request another opinion or say no. A quote is information, not a commitment. Cyclebishop Heating & Air does not pressure you, and you owe nothing for asking.

Ready to talk to a provider?

Send a short description of the problem and the times you are usually home. A local provider can take it from there.
